Keron Kan Painting – Terms & Conditions for Epoxy Flooring & Countertop Refinishing

Thank you for choosing Keron Kan Painting. Please carefully review the following terms and conditions before making a deposit or booking your service.
By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Booking & Payment Terms

Full Payment Required: Any project totaling $200 or less must be paid in full at booking.

Deposit Policy: A 50% deposit is required to secure any project over $200. Deposits must be received within 24 hours of the invoice date or the appointment will be forfeited.

Final Payment: The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Accepted Payments: Cash, Zelle, CashApp, debit/credit card (processing fees may apply). No checks accepted unless previously approved.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
-
Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance are eligible for a full deposit refund.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled service are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.

One reschedule is allowed per deposit if notice is given 48 hours prior to the scheduled date. After that, a new deposit may be required.
3. Client Responsibilities – Pre-Job Requirements
For Epoxy Flooring:
-
Ensure all furniture, rugs, and personal items are removed from the workspace prior to our arrival.

Floors must be clean and dry. Any existing coatings or adhesives must be disclosed in advance.
For Epoxy Countertop Refinishing:
-
Clear countertops and nearby cabinetry.
-
Remove all food, appliances, and personal items from the workspace.
-
Protect surrounding areas you wish to keep untouched. Painter's tape and drop cloths will be used, but extra coverage may be required for open-concept kitchens.
Keron Kan Painting is not liable for damage to any items left in the work zone.
4. Worksite Conditions
-
Power, lighting, ventilation, and access to water must be available during service.

Ensure children, pets, and unauthorized individuals are kept away from the work area for safety reasons and to prevent contamination of the finish.
5. Dry Time & Cure Time
-
Floors: Initial dry time is 8–12 hours. Full cure typically occurs in 5–7 days. No furniture or heavy traffic should be applied before full cure.

Countertops: Surface dry to touch in 12–24 hours. No cutting, cleaning, or placing objects on the countertop for at least 72 hours. Full chemical resistance and hardness occurs within 5–7 days.
Use only non-abrasive cleaners once fully cured. Avoid bleach or strong solvents.
6. Warranty & Limitations

All epoxy work comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty, covering peeling, lifting, or separation due to application errors.

This warranty does not cover:
-
Scratches, burns, chips, or other physical damage.
-
Water damage or exposure to extreme temperatures.
-
Movement in foundation, cabinetry, or subfloor.
-
Improper care, misuse, or cleaning with harsh chemicals.
-
Normal wear and tear, minor imperfections, and natural variations in gloss or texture are not considered defects.
7. Repairs, Leveling & Additional Work
-
Any repairs to cracks, chips, or leveling needed prior to epoxy application must be disclosed in advance.

If unforeseen repairs are required during service, client will be notified and an additional fee will be discussed before proceeding.

Cabinet taping, backsplash protection, or detailed masking may incur a small additional prep fee if extra time or labor is required.
8. Photography & Marketing Use

Before and after photos of our work may be used for marketing purposes (social media, website, portfolio), unless client opts out in writing prior to project start.
9. Limitation of Liability
Keron Kan Painting is not liable for:
-
Pre-existing damage, moisture issues, or poor substrate adhesion.
-
Delays caused by weather, material availability, or client interference.
-
Damage caused by furniture, pets, or people contacting surfaces before curing is complete.
10. Client Agreement
By paying a deposit or scheduling services, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions. A signed invoice or deposit acts as acceptance of this agreement.
